ZIP Import: Markdown with Images

Have a Markdown file that links local images, e.g. from a Pandoc-based workflow (document.md + media/image_1.jpg)? Since a browser can't reach files sitting next to an uploaded document, pack them together into a single ZIP archive — the Markdown file at the top level and its images inside a media/ folder — and drop the ZIP onto TranslateFlow like any other file.

We unpack it, translate the text, and keep the images linked so they appear correctly in your exported DOCX or Markdown — no manual re-inserting needed. This also means a Markdown-with-images ZIP exported from TranslateFlow can be re-imported later, e.g. to translate it into another language.

Frequently Asked Questions

What file formats are supported?▼
We support TXT, Markdown (.md), DOCX, PDF (via OCR), and ZIP files up to 2 million characters (~300,000 words). Images from DOCX and PDF files are preserved and restored during export. ZIP is for Markdown files that link local images (e.g. from Pandoc): pack the .md file together with its media/ folder into one ZIP archive and import it — the images stay linked through translation and export.
How accurate are the translations?▼
We use Google's Gemini 2.0 Flash, one of the most advanced AI models available. Quality is comparable to DeepL for most language pairs. For critical documents, we recommend a human review of the final translation.
Which languages are supported?▼
We support 50 languages including all major European languages, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, and many more. The AI automatically detects the source language.
Do credits expire?▼
No, your credits never expire. Use them whenever you need them.
Can I cancel a translation in progress?▼
Yes! Click "Cancel" at any time. You'll only be charged for the portion that was already translated, and you'll keep the partial result.
What about YouTube videos without subtitles?▼
We can extract auto-generated subtitles from most videos. If no subtitles are available at all (rare), the video cannot be processed.
How does YouTube comment analysis work?▼
When you fetch a YouTube transcript, comments are loaded for free (up to 500). After translating the transcript, click "Analyze with AI" to get a sentiment report including overall mood, main topics, viewer questions, praise, and criticism. The analysis costs ~0.1 credits per comment. You can download the results or copy to clipboard.
